4 Faves – Friends Version 1.0

Posted by lori . 10 Comments

May’s 4 Faves all come from my friends.  Check out what they like.

Zonda & Miura (Amy’s Greyhounds)

This week’s faves come from my friend, Amy.  Amy is mom to Miura and Zonda (greyhounds) and Hemi, Shelby,  Fin and Rally (kitties).

Trix TickLasso

Amy is a greyhound rescue angel.  She fosters, goes to Meet & Greets and helps out when our group receives greyhounds from the tracks.  It’s during that last activity that she’s given the TickLasso a workout that’s made it one of her favorite things.  The TickLasso removes ticks completely…even between toes and deep in ears.  This is definitely being added to my greyhound first aid kit.

Chaco Sandals

Amy loves these because they have arch support and they’re durable.  Oh, and they’re cute too!

EWG’s Skin Deep Cosmetic Database

Amy knows all the best sites for information.  Here’s one of her favorites for getting information on beauty products.  EWG gives a rating based on the health concerns of the ingredients used in specific products.  It also provides in-depth information on why specific ingredients may be hazardous.  You can search more than 65,000 items on the database.

Meadowlake Farm

While searching EWG’s Skin Deep Cosmetic Database, Amy found Meadowlake Farm skincare products.  Amy loves them for their natural ingredients and for their effectiveness.

Guess what? I chewed up a Chaco sandal one time when I was still living with my Angel Donna Fostermommy! I felt kinda bad cuz I didn’t understand what the difference was between a chew toy and those sandals. But Angel Donna just smiled and petted me and told me it was okay. So it’s good to know they’re comfy cuz they are also lots of fun to chew on!

    Wiggles & Wags,

How about that! I thought Amy recommended 3 favorite things for people and 1 favorite thing for doggies; you showed that she recommended 3 favorite things for people and 2 favorite things for doggies. I’m so glad Angel Donna Fostermommy found you and you found your mommy!

  • hey, it’s me Puddles…again!
Remind me to nevers make a comment bout ticks again. My mum found one today on my sissy Whitney and mum liked totally flipped her lid. I’m laughing underneath…as long as it wasn’t me!

Puddles – I’m just reading both your comments. I’m totally with your mum! Ticks give me the willies. I’ve never had to remove one, but I have found a couple on the houndies and a couple on me (super willies).

Now, regarding your question about Zonda and Miura; this is my guess…I think Zonda (left) is a light brindle and Miura (right) is a dark brindle. My Freedom is a brindle.

Oooo! Hello Greyhounds! Nice duds! We have a tick key, but I wonder if the tick lasso would work better.

Those sandals look amazing! Please tell me they come in pink! I can’t have mom not matching me!

All I can say about the TickLasso is that Amy gets EXCITED when she talks about it. In my mind, if you get excited about something that has to do with ticks, it has to be good! Amy also has a lot of experience removing ticks because she goes to the “hauls” for our greyhound group. The “hauls” are when they bring the dogs up from the tracks. Apparently, some of the new hounds have a lot of ticks and Amy says this removes them completely and from tricky places like between toes and deep in ears. I’m going to get one and I hope I NEVER have to use it.

Puddles mum wants the sandals in pink too!

    They are such beautiful dogs!

Thank you for your kind words. They really helped. I just need to come to realize that when he wants contact again he will step forward. Until then I continue what I have to do.

I hope you have an excellent day!

  • Amy says:

Yes Chaco sandals come in pink (several options)! And some have brown footbeds and some have black so I “needed” 2 pairs 🙂 has them but if you check (which has limited inventory that changes daily) you can get them a lot less. I checked every day for a week and got them for $22 in my size which is less than half price! So add to my favorites list.

Ticks totally creep me out which is why I recommend the tick remover. Thankfully my girls have never had one, but as Lori said I got to test this remover as I pulled off 100+ from dogs just off the track brought up from Alabama. I got to try all 3 types and this is far superior to remove between toes and in ears.

Zonda is a tan brindle and Miura is a dark brindle. Don’t quote me but I think there are 13 varieties of brindle (not counting mr Casper’s white with brindle). They appreciate the compliments! People think Miura is a boy so she gets extra pretty pink collars 🙂
