Buttons = Christmas Picture
.
Inspiration:
Better Homes and Gardens Special Interest Publications (Christmas Ideas 2010) – Pg 117 (All Buttoned Up)
Supplies:
Buttons
Picture Frame
Felt
Scissors
Pen
Glue
1. Cut a piece of felt the size of the frame opening.
2. Arrange the buttons on the felt.
3. Glue the buttons on the felt.
4. Glue the felt on the picture backing and insert into the frame.
5. That’s all there is to it. Mine are small, but imagine how striking this would be in a larger size.

Very cute! You are so creative!
What a great use for buttons! Such festive holiday decorations!
This is one of my favorites of your crafty things! I saw something similar a few years ago where a lady had taken a bunch of old Christmas pins and made a large Christmas tree with them. It was stunning, and I wished I had some old pins. Buttons are easy for me to come by!
I want to do a large version of this. It was a bit tricky fitting it in the little frame, plus I think I could really showcase some pretty buttons I have in my collection if I did a larger one.
What fun…thanks for the inspiring craft! Love it!
Very creative ~ lots of possibilities and great tutorial and fun! ~thanks, namaste, Carol (Share the Creative Journey) Happy CED ^_^
The button christmas tree is very cute! And it looks so easy to make, I might have to give it a try, I have jars o buttons! Great to see you doing the AEDM!
thats really cute and looks so easy! Thanks for sharing.
HI Lori,
Very pretty!!! I use to do that stuff all the time but after a couple of bad falls I don’t do that any more and it is not b/c I can’t it is b/c I am getting old and would rather have friend to talk with now!!
xx, Fern
Hi Fern…I think talking with friends is much more fun and a lot less messy than crafts. Glad you enjoyed this little piece of button art.
I love these buttons and the art you created with them. So original… I go to a fabric store that sells oodles of buttons out of a huge bin. Maybe I’ll find some there to make art with!
I love how connections are made via Art Everyday Month!
This is an awesome little how to… I have a big jar of buttons somewhere and I am thinking my daughter and I can have a great time doing these… thanks for the share… xx
I made a Christmas button tree last year and cross-stitched “Happy Holidays” then framed it with scrapbook paper as a backing. Your little ones would make great stocking stuffers for friends. Hope your day is great. Tammy
The button tree is really cute!!
