How To Paint An Owl – Week 4

Posted by lori . 8 Comments

I’m taking How to Paint an Owl E-course by Juliette Crane.  Sadly, I didn’t get any painting done this week.  In fact, I haven’t even looked at this week’s lesson.  Regardless of the fact that I’m behind, I’m already thinking about what’s next.

After I finish How to Paint an Owl, I’ll probably spend a few week doing some projects from books I have; but I also have my eye on another e-course…Supplies Me by Jane Davenport.

This course looks like so much fun.  Here’s Jane’s description of the e-course:

Supplies Me is an online workshop about art supplies with an emphasis on use in visual/art journals. But the only way to truly understand and unlock the potential of these amazing tools is to use them, so I have designed a program of intensive (not scary!) drawing lessons to do just that. The emphasis will be on faces and the figure. So as you are experimenting with using your art supplies in different ways, you will also be learning the basic structure of the feminine face and how to shade, colour and render it. I’ll also share my fashion illustration experience and get you drawing the female figure with ease too!

During the course, you work with colored pencils, watercolors, pens & markers, pastels and acrylics.

I’m still looking around, but this online workshop is tempting me pretty bad.

I can’t imagine why you would get behind with all the creative things on your plate?! LOL! Supplies Me sounds like a great on-line workshop!

The Supplies Me course looks like fun! Other Mum always wants to start her next project before finishing the one she is doing! She got a nice big tin of tinted charcoal pencils the Christmas before last but she hasn’t even had them out of the tin yet… perhaps one day we will see the crocheted greyhound that she has started, but I won’t hold my breath!
