In My Studio – February 18
.
Here’s what I’ve been doing in my studio…
Hmmm…Nothing I can take a picture of, but I haven’t been idle.
Last week, I received an email about Artful Gathering 2013. I took three classes last summer and enjoyed them tremendously. I would love to teach at a wonderful online retreat like this, so I put together a proposal to teach a fabric flower class. It was a lot of fun to put together the proposal, and we’ll see what happens.
This Week’s Inspiration
In 2013, I’m doing Inspiration Mondays and Results Thursdays. Every Monday, I’ll post a painting “inspiration†and then on Thursdays, I’ll post how I’m interpreting that inspiration.
Last week’s inspiration was a BOOK COVER. Here is the book cover I used for my inspiration:
…and this is the little girl that came out of it.
This week’s inspiration is inspired by my Artist Date…ICE.
Very cool!

Ice, that should be fun!
Can’t wait to hear how your proposal was received!
I hope you are able to teach the class!
I too hope you are able to teach that class it sounds like fun!!!
Bambi was just rolling in the sun–she loved to do that in a sun spot when it was winter. When we had had her for about only a month she came in from being outside smelling like Poop— OLD poop!! I marched her in the bathroom and gave her a bath— something she hated!!!! I talked to her the whole time about getting stinky and I told her if she got stinky again she would have another bath!!!!!!! I guess she understood b/c she never got stinky again!! Of course she did have a few baths in her day but not at home!!!!! She was SO SMART!!!!!!
Good luck with the class! I know I would have a good time in your class, and I bet others would love it, too!
I hope they say yes to your class. You’re certainly doing a good job of getting your passion for art and craft out there! ICE…I’m thinking some arty farty cruise inspired cocktails LOL
Sure hope they ask you to teach your flower class.
What a cute little painting!
What a beautiful rendering from your inspiration!! She reminds me of Little Orphan Annie…a favorite character of mine. I wish I could draw but alas I cannot so I crochet. LOL

I hope you get to teach, that would be a great opportunity.
Oh Lori how lovely to be asked, your flowers are beautiful, keeping everything crossed for you, I’d come if it didn’t involve hours on a plane LOL.

Have fun with the class!
That doll is really representative of the book cover.
