In My Studio – March 4
.
Here’s what’s been happening in my studio…
I’m putting together an online class on how to make fabric flowers. I put together an outline, and now I’m fine tuning. An important consideration is making sure I can demonstrate how to make the flowers with the video focused on my hands. I’m also practicing what I’ll say. Right now, I’m just pretending because I don’t have a video camera, but I’m hoping that if I keep practicing, it will come a little more natural once I begin videotaping. If you walked in on me, you’d think I’d lost my mind.
 This Week’s Inspiration
In 2013, I’m doing Inspiration Mondays and Results Thursdays. Every Monday, I’ll post a painting “inspiration†and then on Thursdays, I’ll post how I’m interpreting that inspiration.
Last week’s inspiration was the 1940’s. This is the girl that came out of that inspiration…
Last week, I asked for your inspiration ideas. Thank you for all the great suggestions! I’m going to work through all of them.
This week’s inspiration is from KB of Romping & Rolling in the Rockies…NATURE.
Love those flowers!

Those are pretty! The best online teachers (or face to face for that matter) are those who care enough to prepare and practice the lesson plans. You’ve got that covered! 🙂
The flowers look really nice – I like the pink one in the front. Good luck practicing with your video, I am trying to work myself up to doing a video sometime in the near future.
As long as nobody has called the psychiatric institution yet you have got away with it!
I didn’t know your class was online, I thought it was teaching at the place where you work.
I would say your girl is very 40’s looking and the background is perfect.

Hello there, hopped over from Roxy’s site to say Hi

Loving the fabric flowers.
The 1940s girl is fab.
Looking forward to the ideas.
LOVE your 1940’s girl! Be sure to let us know when your class is available 😀
Great flowers . . . .they make us wish spring would get here faster!
Beautiful. And it reminds me of my grandmother!
Woof! Woof! How COOL that’s your class. Mom makes flowers too, not sure if you saw it. I guess we have to include in our project page. Flowers are fun to make and there are different ways to make it. It is one of our best seller as a dog collar accessory. There was a flower hop blog going on, I’ll ask my mom to send you an email with the link. Happy Flower making. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
I would love that!
I can just imagine you practicing 😀
