In My Studio – May 13
.
Here’s what’s happening in my studio…
I’m taking a break from painting and crafting for the next two weeks, but I did have one of my cardmaking clubs on Thursday, so I have a few new cards to show.
This card is easy to make if you have a Sizzix machine. A Sizzix machine is used to emboss and/or die-cut paper. That’s how I made the butterflies. Imagine how many different color combinations this card could be made in.
This card also features an embossed background, but the butterfly shapes were made using paper punches.
Oh wow!! I love that. The colors are perfect, and I am a big butterfly lover.
These cards are so pretty. Now that we are finally getting settled I am trying to find more time for creativity. I found this neat book on various projects you can make out of old books. If Pip will let me take over his blog one day, I will post some pictures.
My mom used to go to those card classes she was always surprized her cards turned out sooooo pretty! She liked giving them away.

OH MY WORD these are exquisite….so delicate and just too pretty to be put in an envelope. Hallmark best up their decoration and creativity budget pronto.

Those are so pretty – I would have a hard time sending them out – I would want to keep them all:)
Wow–so beautiful!
They are gorgeous! Anyone would be thrilled to be a recipient of either card.

Wow! So beautiful! Do you sell them?
I don’t sell them. I mainly use them for an eBay group I belong to…Sue’s Random Acts of Kindness. I enjoy getting together with my cardmaking buddies and making a few cards, but I’m really not a true papercrafter.
Those are beautiful!

Those cards are absolutely stunning. Anyone who receives one would be very lucky! You are very talented and now you’ve made me want a Sizzix machine.

Beautiful cards Lori, especially the 1st one – my style, minimal yet elegant. love the colour combination and the form of a card in general 🙂
the die cutting machines turned out to be a real card making revolution 🙂
ive got spellbinder’s wizard 🙂
do you spend much on dies?
I have been accumulating dies (and embossing folders) slowly but surely. My real weakness is buying punches.
I am in so much awe of people who have the imagination and creativity to create such beauty. I wouldn’t be any good at it as I’m not meticulous enough. You’re an expert 🙂
