My Goals For January 2013
.
I don’t like to set goals. Some of it has to do with my personality…I like to flit around from this to that, and some of it has to do with fear and how bad I feel when I set out to accomplish something and then fall short, but I know it’s a useful tool when you’re trying to focus on something. So here goes…
1. Figure out what role I want painting to play in my life.
2. Write out ten goals I want to accomplish in 2013 with regard to my painting.
3. Every Sunday, review and plan the week ahead and keep an eye on the month so I don’t overextend myself.
4. Schedule regular painting time. I’ll start with three hours a week.
5. Set-up a gallery page on my blog.
These are the goals I want to accomplish by the end of January.
Hope you manage to tick off each of these goals for January, before January ends:)
I am terrible for saying, ‘oh I’ll do that tomorrow’, which of course means it never get’s done. That’s definitely something I want to change.
Those should be attainable! Though I do know how life just gets in the way, sometimes! I’m finding that with my 30/30 challenge already!
A gallery page! That sounds exciting. I don’t suppose you could find time for Small Stones in that schedule though you can also use pictures 😉
This year, I’m going to try real hard to focus on painting, but I’m already thinking about 2014 (ha) and writing is something I want to do more of too. I love reading your Small Stones posts. What a great idea. I’m going to check it out. If not this year, next.
Nice goals and a lot of them our mom is lazy and took pretty much none

Hope you achieve all your goals this year Lori, good luck with the painting 🙂

Wow! Very succinctly said…and true for me as well…between liking to flit around and fear. FEAR. Yikes. What if I set that goal and don’t make it? What if I do???? You give me hope. Guess that’s what makes life exciting…we’ll have to stick around to see how it turns out!
It sounds completely doable! I am like you, I don’t like to set goals in stone because I have a huge fear of failure, but once I commit to something, I tend to throw myself into it with full force.
Great goals! You will not believe the feeling of accomplishment !
I never set goals & am usually just trying to make it through the day! I really do believe that if I would make myself sit down & plan things out, I could get more accomplished. It sounds like you are on the right track 🙂
This is a weakness I have…not sitting down and planning my week out. I’m good at coming up with things to do, just not so good at getting them on my schedule.
