Sink Reflections

This is one of the best books on cleaning and organizing that I know.  Why?  Because it really helped me.  Marla, aka The FlyLady, takes you baby step by baby step through the process of cleaning and organizing your home.  This was the book that made the difference for me.  I don’t work the plan perfectly, but the plan keeps me on track.  Following the steps in this book makes dealing with the clutter and chaos in your home do-able.

I have a friend at work and she swears by the Flylady, but she pestered us all so much, I just refused to do it. I might have to actually give it a look, though!

What I like about the “system” is the cleaning part. I have my house divided up into 5 zones and each week I focus on 1 zone…more of a thorough cleaning. For some reason, that takes away the “overwhelming factor” for me, and I find that if I clean a room good once a month, things stay pretty nice, at least as far as my low standards go. The FlyLady offers all sorts of support like daily email remainders, etc., but that’s more than I want.

Yeah, it was the daily e-mail reminders that really turned me off! lol

Love Flylady! I really got away from it, but I’m planning to get back to it when the kids go back to school. It does seem to give me direction on what to do!
