Window Glass + Nose Slobber = Glue
.
Does this look familiar?
My husband usually takes care of the window glass on those rare occasions that we take care of it, but it often includes a lot of HBO language, and I fear for the glass. So, I searched the internet and found these three suggestions for cleaning doggy nose smears:
Kaboom
Microfiber Cloths
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser
The winner…
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. It works with water and without a lot of elbow grease. Easy peasy and no HBO language.
We use Windex and a squeegee….fast and effective. Now the dogs have to get busy and beautify that window again.

White vinegar and water (2 parts water to 1 part white vinegar) That’ll get it off and you aren’t using any chemicals. Also much cheaper than the products, as a little bit of vinegar goes a long way.
I love how the Magic Eraser works, but I never thought of vinegar and water. I’m going to give this a try too.
Well it looks nice, but house keeper that I am (or non house keeper) Id likely have left it there!
urban hounds
I only clean the windows when I have to. Usually, I don’t even see the nose smudges…kind of like dust.
You’re my hero for sharing posts like this! I *totally* understand the HBO language. I’ve been amazed by how tough the results of hound noseprints can be…like glue! Matter of fact, I have an upcoming post about The Orange Menace looking out and debated whether to post some of the pix ‘coz I wasn’t sure I wanted you guys to see how nasty my glass is! But I’m tryin’ to ‘keep it real’. I shall have to try your suggestion and report back.
We have lots of that nose art here too. Thanks for the tip about the magic eraser. Mom wishes she had a magic cleaner for the whole house:)

I try to stick to vinegar and water too as there are some very, very nasty chemicals in some of those other products . . . . Good to know if I am stuck the magic eraser will do it.
we have that lots here cos we live in a very very old house with glass kitchen doors leading onto the porch…everyday there is doggy paws, and handprints…we will try the Mr. Clean ……

Now they just have to start their ‘nose-art’ all over again 🙂
I’m going to have to tell my friend about that.
Oh yeah, I got a lot of slobber too!! I never thought of using magic eraser though, that’s a good idea!
We’ve kind of given up on it, or at least making it look pretty. We think the “snart” as we call it helps keep the boys from running into the glass.

Oooh I am going to buy some today!
I love the erasers. They are great for cleaning showers.
That looks like a pretty good product – which as usual you can’t get over here.
It has really brought that window up sparkly clean though.

Looks like our windows!

Ah! We has lots of Dog (and Kitty) Nose Art! The Dog is the worst! Mommy says that sometimes it is so bad she has to use straight vinegar and paint scraper to get it off!

I agree! The Magic Eraser is like some kind of miracle! I don’t think there’s anything it can’t fix!
Woof! Woof! COOL! Golden Thanks for this. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
I may have to import some as a birthday present for Mum! Deccy x
Oh wow! Thanks for the tip. Like some of your other readers, I use vinegar and water but don’t find it too successful. Maybe I’m not using the right ratio of vinegar to water.
